Movies for me are the real stress buster: Gautam Rode

Gautam Rode

The name Gautam Rode can leave smile on the faces of small screen lovers. After all he is one ‘hot’ guy on TV. Be it a foreign returned, suave, young guy in love, or a rustic, rugged man with super powers, he has done all roles with equal ease in his various shows.

Last seen in Mahakumbh (Life OK), this talented man is one, who has many experiences to share. And for our special section, we got chatty with Gautam, where he spoke about films, his favourite movie scenes, DishTV’s innovative product DishFlix and lot more. Read on…

Are you a movie buff?

Of course, I am. There is no doubt about it.

What kind of movies you like to watch?

I am a diehard fan of action packed thriller movies. I love those flicks which depict lots of physical activities and skills.

Tell us about your favourite movie scene?

Godfather is any day my favourite and all the scenes from the film are heartwarming. To be honest, it is very difficult for me to choose one particular sequence. (After a pause)  The scene where Al Pachino kills an inspector and that was the first time he had taken up such an extreme step. The way the veteran actor portrayed that scene definitely deserves a special mention.

So who are your favourite hero and heroine?

After mentioning so much about the legend, who else can you expect to name other than Al Pachino (laughs)? But, yes of course apart from him, Aamir Khan and Nutan are also two of my favourite stars.

What was the last movie you watched?

Welcome Back.

Cinema for you is…

Stress buster. I watch cinema to reduce my stress level. Whenever I feel overworked or I strained, I find solace in movies.

You keep busy as an actor…so how do you prefer watching movies?

•          On the go- internet

•          Movie On demand

•          Rent DVDs

I prefer to watch films in theatres mostly. Apart from that there are satellite services, which have made life really easy.

Are you aware about DishTV’s latest Product- DishFlix? It’s the talking point among all movie lovers?

It does sound interesting. And now, that I am aware about this service, I will definitely try it out. After all, who wouldn’t prefer to watch a film without getting interrupted by continuous advertisements?

Check out DishTV’s DishFlix, which is said to be India’s First Home Video System. Click here
