Mohit Malhotra, who is currently playing the role of Kartik in Sony’s Bade Acche Lagte Hain, knows the importance of money. The actor shares his money mantras in a candid chat with Tellychakkar. How important is money to you? Money is very important and I know the value of it. My father started his construction business from scratch and I have seen him in different situations, good and bad both. And so I certainly know the importance of money. Are you an impulsive buyer? No, I am not. I plan and do things. What are the investments you have made? Given my earnings, I have made only one major investment, my maroon Honda Civic car. What is your most expensive purchase? As I mentioned, my car. Do you feel financially secure? Yes, for now. Who handles your expenses? I handle all my expenses. What was your first salary? Rs 3000, which I earned from an internship in my uncle’s mechanic tools company at the age of 17. How much money do you carry every day? I carry less cash. I always have my cards with me. Any advice for investors? Be smart. Analyse, plan, read and research before investing anywhere.
