Beauty with brains, the phrase aptly applies on vivacious and versatile actress Saumya Tandon. This small screen diva, who has been part of television projects like Aisa Des Hai Mera, Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni, is currently enjoying adulation for her stupendous performance as Anita in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai (&TV). She has also entertained masses as an anchor in Dance India Dance, Comedy Circus and few others.
Chatting with this one lady has always been a pleasure and when we asked her about that one special person in her life, her ‘mom’, Jyotsna Tandon, she was more than happy to share. “Honestly, my relationship with my mom became stronger overtime. After my father’s demise I became close to her and I realized that life is indeed unpredictable and how much important a parent’s support is. Without her by my side constantly, I wouldn’t have been able to survive in life, especially in Mumbai.”
Ask her about a special moment spent with her mom; she beams and tells: “For many years, my mom has always taken care of me like a baby. Whenever I go for shooting, irrespective of the time, she wakes up early and packs my food and keeps an eye on whatever I am having and what not. She has been doing this for all these years selflessly.”
“If I have to speak about one really special moment then it would be our celebrating Valentine’s Day together. Every year I celebrate the day of love with her, and she keeps on pampering me with gifts.”
Cello’s new heartrending ad campaign (check the video below) triggered a stream of nostalgia in the actress.
“Mother-daughter relations have always been prominent in every form of art and literature. And I believe that it will continue to be so in coming days.”
As Saumya mentions that she takes her mom out for parties as well, we wish this mother-daughter duo a joyful life ahead and a very Happy New Year.
