Pretty lady Piyali Basu, who was seen in Aakash Aath’s Ek Maasher Galpo: Basanta Bilap, has bagged a prominent role in Zee Bangla’s upcoming serial ‘Amar Durga’.
When Tellychakkar.com buzzed the actress to know more about the project she replied, “It is a women centric soap revolving around three protagonists- Sucheta, Durga and Durga’s sister.”
“I am portraying the role of Sucheta who is a NCC (National Cadet Corps) officer. She is a disciplined, smart and strong headed lady who aims to inculcate all the positive attributes in her students.”
The actress shared that her character will play a key role in transforming Durga from a delicate lady to a strong one.
The lady is ecstatic on having bagged the role. “I am very excited about the project. There would be lot of actions in the serial. So, my director has asked me to maintain my physical fitness.”

The show will start airing from 18th January at 8.30 pm and is produced by the Acopolis group of production.
