Replacements on television (2015)

Replacements of a telly character are a common thing on television. Like every year, 2015 also saw changes in the cast of many popular series. Here, at Tellychakkar.com, we remind you about the biggest replacements of the last year. Take a look.

Rajesh Kumar replaces Yashpal Sharma:

Watching theatre and parallel film actor, Yashpal Sharma, on small screen was a pure pleasure. But the actor quit the series to pursue his other professional commitments and Rajesh Kumar stepped into the role.

Asha Negi replaces Shritama Mukherjee:

Kuch To Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan was the first big ticket project of the Bong beauty Shritama Mujherjee. But, unfortunately, the actress was soon replaced by Asha Negi owing to low TRP rates.

Aly Goni replaces Vibhav Roy:

Vibhav, one of the male leads of Kuch To Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan, met with similar fate as of Shritama. Though Aly Goni stepped into Vibhav’s shoes, the TRP chart unfortunately didn’t show much of a difference.

Shakti Anand replaces Shashank Vyas:

Replacement trend is nothing new to Balika Vadhu’s cast. The recent one was of Shashank Vyas opting out of the show and Shakti Anand joining as Jagya opposite Aasiya Kazi.

Siddharth Shukla replaces Nakuul Mehta:

We saw a different side of actor Nakuul Mehta, when the young lad started hosting India’s Got Talent. Unfortunately, he left the show mid-season. Siddharth immediately joined as the new anchor.

Manasi Salvi replaces Neha Marda:

After winning accolades for her performance, Neha Marda put down her papers for Doli Aarmano Ki as the lady was not ready to play the role of a mother of grown up kids post the leap. As a result, Manasi Salvi stepped in as the new lead.
