The reincarnation drama of the Balaji Telfilms show Kasam on Colors has now mostly found its female lead!! Yes, after several auditions and look tests, It looks as though the channel and makers have zeroed in on popular actress Kratika Sengar for the female lead’s role. We know that earlier Bigg Boss fame Yuvika Chaudhary was in contention to bag the prized role as Ssharad Malhotra’s love interest. However, she did not fit the bill of the character. Post that, many known faces were short listed, but it is finally the Jhansi Ki Rani who has apparently been locked. As per our sources, “Kratika has been locked now. However, she is yet to sign on the sotted lines, and the advance level of talks are presently happening with her. If things fall in place, the team will finally be on the roll.” When contacted, Kratika told us, “I am unaware of the developments. I had given an audition long back.” We dropped a text message to the channel spokes person, but did not get any revert. We dropped a text to Producer Ekta Kapoor too but were unsuccessful in getting a comment. As for Kratika, she was first noticed in the popular Ekta shows Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindgi Kay, Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket. The actress went on to play lead roles in Jhansi Ki Rani, Punar Vivah, Veera, Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev, Service Wali Bahu. We hope Kratika gets to be the lucky one here!!
