Change is coming to Colors’ popular show Sasural Simar Ka.
The daily from the stables of Rashmi Sharma Productions, if sources are to be believed, will see a casualty in its casting line up.
And by casualty we mean a REAL BIG ONE!!!
Grab your kerchiefs all RoSid fans, for the lovely pair of Roli and Siddharth will come to an end.
The jodi of Roli and Siddharth (RoSid), played by Avika Gor and Manish Raisinghan respectively, became hugely popular, thanks to their charming chemistry and impeccable performances.
However, now we have been informed that Avika, after a long stint in Sasural Simar Ka, has decided to quit the project.
Reason? Why would she do that? Is she bored or something better is shining at the end of the horizon for her?
Informs a source: “Avika’s contract for the show is ending in March 2016, and in most probability it will not be renewed. She is happy with the show but has movies lined up down South. Allocating shooting dates is a problem hence ultimately she will move out of Sasural next month.”
When Tellychakkar.com reached out to Avika and asked her about the development, she went on to confirm and say, “Yes, I have quit Sasural. Ideally, I would like my character Roli to be killed as RoSid means a lot to me.”
Aww...we understand Avika!!!
So will the character of Roli end in the show as Avika mentioned?
It doesn’t seem so as the hunt for Avika’s replacement is already on and the preferred choice was another young actress, Digangana Suryavanshi (Veera, Bigg Boss 9).
Is she the new Roli?
She reveals: “No, I am not the new Roli. I was approached for the role but I did not take it up. I have some other plans which I will share soon.”
So Digangana is out of contention.

We also texted producer Rashmi Sharma for a comment but she did not reply till the time of filing the article. Channel spokesperson too did not comment on the development.
