I am trying my best to match up to Spandan’s level: Meera Deosthale

Guroudev Bhalla and Dhaval Gada’s show Udann on Colors’ recently witnessed a major leap in the daily. With the leap, many new faces including Meera Deosthale (Chakor), Vidhi Pandya (Imli) and many others made their way to Udann. Known for delivering power packed performance by the cast as well as a strong social message, it was certainly not easy for the leads to step into the shoes of few very popular child artists. Recently we caught up with Meera Deosthale aka Chakor for a chatty session. As we asked her about Spandan, The lady began to answer our question by stating her journey on Udann to be one superb experience. “I am well aware that Spandan, despite being a young soul has done a superb job. And I am trying my level best to match up to her level. Definitely viewers have certain expectations from me and I am trying to live up to that”. “As I am essaying the character of an athlete, I had undergone rigorous training. I kept one personal trainer to learn the body language and mannerisms. Currently, I am working on my accent as the Hindi that Chakor speaks is quite different from what is used in urban areas. And the creative team has helped me a lot to adapt to Chakor’s character”, added the lady with a pretty smile. For the uninitiated there has been much controversy regarding the casting of two leading ladies in Udann. When we quizzed her about the same, she replied, “I have no issues with Vidhi, we gel up pretty well. Being two of the girls on the set, we share our food; have our own gossip sessions in the room (laugh)”. That’s really nice. We hope your friendship remains strong as ever.
