The young, talented man, Sanjay Chouhan, after having his fair share of outing in the television world as a casting director is all set to debut with his first big screen project.
Post casting for small screen series like Emotional Atyachar, Savdhan India, TMKOC and few more, Sanjay is not geared up to make his entry in Bollywood with Kushan Nandy’s upcoming venture, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, featuring Chitrangada Singh and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles.
Taking full charge of the film’s casting now, the busy man found some time to chat with us. As we quizzed him about his first Bollywood film, Sanjay shared, “Well I feel that it is easier to work in films than on television. Firstly, the brief what we receive from a producer is quite precise and clear. While in television, there are lot of confusion especially considering the casting. Moreover, for this particular film I have been receiving so much support from Kushan that I can’t even express it through words”.
When asked about the filmmakers with whom he would love to work, Sanjay commented, “There are three people whom I consider to be my idol; Mahesh Bhatt, Prakash Jha and Tigmanshu Dhulia. These filmmakers mostly narrate the story of small towns, with which I can easily relate to. Hence, someday in near future, I would love to work with them”.
So, where do you see yourself after five years? Sanjay replied, “I came here in Mumbai to become an actor, So, I believe that I will pursue with my acting inspirations in coming days”.
We wish you luck for the same Sanjay.
