'Maid' for each other: TV actors and their woes without househelp

India is a maid-dependent country where women make sure to maintain a positive relationship with maids under any circumstances.

But that feeling when your maid doesn’t turn up to work for a day…yes, you know that feeling, right? But what about TV actors? What do they do when their maids don’t turn up?

Tellychakkar.com spoke to few of TV’s most famous actresses… and here’s what they said. Take a look:

Vahbbiz Dorabjee: Thankfully, I don’t panic when my maid doesn’t turn up to work. In fact, there was a time when she had gone on a month-long leave and I had easily taken care of the house. As Vivian and I are both independent, we tend to split the work and get it done. The most tedious part, however, is cleaning vessels and washing clothes. I am good at dusting and keeping the house uncluttered though.

Adaa Khan: As I live with my family, we have maids at home all through the day. So there has never been a day when I had to do daily chores. However, in a rare case if I have to do it, I can surely manage it. My dad can look after fetching grocery, my brother can cook and I can handle the other tasks. But only for a day!

Mahhi Vij: There have been many times when my maid skipped work. But I never panic as I am good at doing household work. In fact, I enjoy doing everything from cleaning to dusting to cooking. The only thing I hate the most is kneading the flour.

Preetika Rao: There hasn’t been such an instance when I had to do the chores. We have dish washer and washing machine at home to take care of vessels and clothes. I can also manage cooking. But I can’t sweep. If my maid doesn’t turn up, I would probably arrange for another helper.

Rupali Bhosale: Frankly speaking, it's a task for me when the maid doesn't come to work. It gets difficult to juggle household work and shoots. I cook my own food...since I have OCD issues, I like to keep the house clean and tidy.

Aakanksha Singh: I am excellent at handling household work. I would not hit the panic button as I can easily manage cleaning, dusting, washing and other things. The only thing I hate doing is passing the trash bin to the garbage collector. It makes me feel nauseous.
