ZBC to feature Amit Sen's Tak Jhal Mishti

Tak Jhal Mishti

All the film buffs gear up to watch a romantic drama this weekend.

Well, the coming ZBC Originals film is Tak Jhal Mishti.

The film has been helmed by Amit Sen and stars Anisha Mondol, Ronodeb Bose, Soumitra Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Chaitali Dasgupta in lead roles.

Now coming to the plot, the story would trace the journey of a young girl Trina (Anisha)  and her endeavour towards protecting her ancestral property from falling into the hands of an influential property developer Rajat Ray (Sabyasachi).

In order to repay the debts, she will come up with an idea of starting a restaurant titled 'Tak Jhal Mishti’ to serve unique Bengali cuisine.

One fine day, highly educated Sayak (Ronodeb) will impress Trina and get  appointed as a chef.

Guess what the interesting part is?

Sayak is the son of none other than the big business man Rajat Ray but he will hide this fact from her.

With their hard work, the restaurant will start to pick up business and in the process they will bond in a sweet loving friendship.

But just when the restaurant and their bonding will get stronger, a court order will come mentioning that Trina has just 15 days left to clear the debt of their mortgaged ancestral home.

This news will crash Trina’s dream.

Whether Trina and Sayak will bounce back from this trouble or give up their dreams in midway is for the viewers to find out.

Talking about the film, Amit said to Tellychakkar.com, “Bengalis love their food and there are not many Bengali movies that have been dedicated to food. Tak Jhal Mishti is a rom com which revolves around the journey of a girl and Bengali cuisine plays a key role here.”

The director shared that they have also discovered some exotic dishes that have been featured in the film.

“I am a food lover. Some of the dishes my wife and I discovered for the film include Hoogly hangover (Ilish marinated in wine), taal shaash (fruit item) salad etc. I hope people will enjoy the film while having their dinner,” he added with a smile.

It will be aired on 15th May, 9 PM on Zee Bangla Cinema.
