Zee Bangla's Happy Parents Day is back

Zee Bangla's Happy Parents Day is back

After garnering positive response in the earlier season, Zee Bangla is back with its reality show Happy Parents Day.

For the uninitiated, it is a quizzed based game show where children fulfill their parents’ dreams.

The latest season has gone through certain changes in its format. Unlike the previous one, in this season the viewers will see the participation of two candidates and thus two sets of parents.

The show will be hosted by notable theatre and film actor Debshankar Halder.

When asked what motivated him to host the show, Debshankar said, “I said yes to the show because it’s about parents. And through others’ parents, I will be able to connect with my parents as well. I will be able to use the terms ma and baba again and again. At this stage, what more can I ask for?”

About the format of the show, he opined, “This year, two candidates and two sets of parents will get to participate in the show. It has been done to bring variety to the same.”

“To fulfill their parents’ dreams, they have to score points by answering a few questions. The score system will create a healthy competition and excitement between the participants,” he added.

The actor-cum-anchor also mentioned that only practical dreams can be fulfilled here in the show. He quipped, “It always feels great to fulfill someone’s dreams but the dreams have to be practical and realistic.”

Happy Parents Day will start from 16th June, airing Thursday to Saturday, 9.30 pm.
