Ashutosh Gowariker’s upcoming magnum opus Mohenjo Daro will take you back to the land of the primitive civilization, which was advanced in many ways. Hrithik Roshan looks majestic as Sarman despite the tattered clothes and his mud-soaked body.
Pooja Hegde, in detailed floral motifs and rich, vibrant colours, is a total contrast as Chaani. While their love story is the heart of the plot, the crux is about Sarman rediscovering his past via Mohenjo Daro and also picking fights with the main antagonist Maham aka Kabir Bedi.
The setting is rustic, the clothes appropriate…even though Pooja’s feathers kind of stereotype the inhabitants. Is it just us or the dialogues sounded too forced and almost school play-esque? Hrithik takes charge of his scene and delivers, so does Kabir Bedi. We are yet to take a call on Pooja who has very few scenes in the trailer.
But by going by their quick smooch, looks like lot of racy moments are in store for us…
The movie is said to be an epic romance where Roshan Jr's character falls in love with his enemy's daughter aka debutant Pooja Hegde. The story explores their love story, set in such a time when survival itself was a struggle. The film was shot in Bhuj and Mumbai, along with short schedules in Jabalpur and Thane.
Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film is slated to release on August 12, clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom.
