&TV’s social drama Waaris will soon see a seven-year leap, with many changes post the jump. Viewers are already aware of Amba hiding Manpreet Pawania’s (Mannu) identity of being a girl.

She has raised the kid as a boy under adverse circumstances.

And here are few things that you need to know about Saniya aka the grown-up Mannu.

Even though Mannu is a girl, she would be seen as a boy on the show.

Saniya was earlier part of Jodha Akbar on Zee TV.

Saniya’s elder sister Sumbul Touqeer would be play her sister’s role in the series. The two played sibling on Jodha Akbar too.

Saniya and Sumbul have always shown an interest in acting.

Saniya and Sumbul have earlier participated in three reality shows – Zee TV’s Dance India Dance, Star Plus’ India’s Dancing Superstar and Hindustan Ka Big Star on Big Magic.
