The industry is a dark place for kids: Geetajali Tikekar

Geetanjali Tikekar, currently seen in Sony TV’s Ek Duje Ke Vaaste is not just a super-talented actor but is also a proud and doting mother to seven-year old Shaurya. Having been in the industry for as close as 15 years now, Geetanjali is sure about one thing as a parent – the industry is too dark a place for her little Shaurya! “Children are very vulnerable and somehow the industry is very unapologetic about its ways. A child is often taken away from the innocent essence of childhood in order to balance between hectic shoots that often go beyond 10 hours, and a normal life. Shaurya is too young and na?ve to enter an industry that has so much cut-throat competition. When the time is right and he wants to become an actor, Sikandar (husband) and I will surely be as supportive as possible.” Says Geetanjali. Aww! That’s indeed a loving mother talking!
