TV celebs and their favourite Eid delicacies

Eid gives way to feasting for Muslims worldwide as Ramadan ends and Eid celebrations begin. Ramadan ends with prayers, food, family and friends. On the auspicious day of Eid, TV stars talk about their favourite Eid delicacies...take a look:

Rafi Malik I make sure that I go home very year to spend time with my family. Although I cannot cook, I do enjoy the delicasies made by my mom. From mutton biryani, kebabs, dahi vadas and chole. Sheer khurma is my favourite.

Waseem Mushtaq I love to have mutton seekh kabab and biryani. I also love chicken stew. My wife Ayesha is a fab cook, so I leave the cooking job to her. I wish Eid Mubarak to all.

Anjum Fakih Mom and I are making masoor keema biryani on Eid. There is a Konkani delicacy called sandan (it looks like idli but is sweet in taste), which can be had with chicken/mutton stew. Sheer khurma is mandatory but mom replaces it with sevainyan (witout milk) for me. It’s light and easily digestable. I am cooking since 7th grade and I enjoy doing it. Masoor kheema biryani is my invention, in fact. Sara Arfeen Khan My favourite food is mutton biryani and Galouti kabab. I love sevainyan but without milk as I hate milk! I cook during Ramadan but not on Eid.

Sehban Azim We all know this Eid is also known as Meethi Eid, courtesy all the sweets that are prepared for this day after 30 days of rigorous fasting. I love sevainyan, specifically the one cooked with lots of milk and dry fruits. I tried cooking dry sevainyan once and failed miserably. It tasted like some sweet Chinese dish that nobody would eat ever (laughs)!

Ayaz Ahmed Sewaiyan, sheer khurma, biryani, shahi tukda, shami kebab, I can actually cook all these dishes. One thing that I still can't replecate is my mom'd laccha paratha. I will surely miss it the most this Eid as  I won't be able to go home being busy with Santoshi Maa shoots.

Shireen Mirza I am in Jaipur and looking foward to celebrating Eid with my family. I love sevainyan and I cook for everyone in the house. I like mom’s special mutton biryani and kabab.

Ruslaan Mumtaz Every year, I call my friends home. Even I go to my aunt’s house and we have keema pav, normally I hate it but on Eid, I enjoy having it. I love having mishit doi too as my dad is from Kolkata so he gets it for us every time. I like sheer khurma. I cook but recently because of shoots, I was not able to.

Mohsin Khan Eid is a very close family affair for us. Sheer khurma is prepared by my mom and along with my siblings we cut all dry fruits into small pieces. A lot of sweets are also prepared all night long.

Eid Mubarak to all!
