Flying Jatt trailer is goofy yet fun!

Flying Jatt

Unlike the superheroes we are familiar with, this new-age superhero is goofy, and how. From being chased by dogs to burning his hands to being pulled up for his weird clothes, Flying Jatt is hilarious.

The trailer takes up typical superhero plots and twists it around with dollops of humour thrown in. While Jatt’s mother (the feisty Amrita Singh) bullies him into using his powers to clean up the house, he only wants to woo the love of his life, played by Jacqueline Fernandes.

If there’s a hero, there’s bound to be a villain too, right? Enter Kay Kay Menon, who is the kind of anti-hero you’ve seen in every movie, but he somehow still manages to pique our curiosity.

His own creation aka a superpower played by wrestler-turned-actor Nathan Jones is pitted against Flying Jatt. Even though we know how the movie would end, we want to watch the epic Superman v General Zod kind of face-off.

It might not boast of Marvel/DC-level special effects, but the genuine humour more than makes up for it.

The background score is apt for such a drama, so is the dialogue-baazi. We love the transition of Jatt from an awkward, reluctant hero who’s scared of heights to a self-sufficient power that can take on every evil.

Tiger Shroff is perfect as the fluid hero, who can dance, fight, and woo his heroine with equal ease. Jackie has limited things to do, albeit her kiss with Tiger is electrifying... while Amrita is her usual bindaas stuff. The cast and plot look promising, like a typical masala fare…and we can’t wait to watch it.

Directed by Remo D’souza, the movie is slated to release on August 25.
