The FIT & FAB veteran actresses of TV

Gone are the days when staying fit was only limited to the young brigade.

With television evolving by the minute, our veteran actresses are leaving no stones unturned to stay fit and healthy. The key to their fitness is their positive lifestyle and determination to be in shape.

Here are some of them who inspire us to stay fit...take a look:

Achint Kaur: I have always been on the fitter side since my childhood. I was an athlete so fitness comes naturally to me. But I must admit that I am blessed with a good metabolism so I don’t tend to put on weight. But that doesn’t mean that I neglect my exercise regime. I walk 10 to 12 kilometres in a day. I perform yoga and swim every alternate day. I don’t skip meals and eat everything but at regular intervals.

Krutika Desai: Since I was an athlete in my school days, fitness comes naturally to me. I have been a runner, a hockey and basketball player. I begin my day with warm water and two lemons every day. Earlier, I used to run and go to the gym but now I perform yoga instead. Sometimes I go trekking. There are few dos and don’ts that I follow: I eat a lot of fruits and salad so that I am full. I perform yoga regularly. I avoid eating junk food and sweets. No eating after 7 PM. I drink many glasses of water. My dinner is very light, it is milk with dry fruits.

Meghna Malik: The key to fitness is to eat light and never overdo it. I live a healthy lifestyle, which reflects in my body. I am not a party animal so I sleep and wake up early. I go for a walk early in the morning. I make sure to have my breakfast at 8 sharp. I eat my lunch at 12.30 and dinner before 8 PM. I don’t follow any pattern in the diet and just plan it smartly. I am addicted to tea though.

Anita Raj: Fitness runs in my family. Exercising is a passion and not compulsion for me. It is 70 percent diet and 30 percent workout. Never deprive yourself of food. I keep challenging myself. I can do plank workout for one hour and one minute, which nobody can do. In fact, I perform crossfit from Monday to Friday and 12 kilometre marathon walk on Saturday or Sunday.

Mita Vashisht: I follow a well-organized life. My fitness comes from Yoga. I make sure to perform it four times a week. Also, I am a trained classical dancer so I practice it every day. More than exercising, one should spend quality time alone. Introspecting is very important. Eat everything, but in small proportions. Indulge in things that you enjoy.
