5 life lessons to learn from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

One of the longest running shows, Taarak Ka Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, TMKOC as it is called, is going to complete 2000 episodes this week and it has offered many things to its viewers in addition to humor. It also packs in various life lessons that make us go back to the comedy fare every single day.

We tell you what you can pick from TMKOC, read on:

When you’re together, anything is possible:

All the families in Gokuldham form a big happy family. Gokuldham folks have beaten many adversaries with the sheer power of their togetherness. When they all come together, even the biggest of enemy looks easy. That’s how we should be. Because only when you’re together can you solve any problem.

Friendship is everything:

The biggest take away from the show is that friendship is everything. Jethalal and his firebrigade, Taarak, share a healthy relationship where they act as each other’s saviour cum sidekick. Not just those two, but even Iyer who shares a love-hate vibe with Jetha, comes to the former’s rescue when the situation demands. Isn’t that awesome?

Respect for every one:

If you're a loyal viewer, you'd know that every member of the society refers to Jetha's father as 'Bapuji', and goes to him for advice always. Not just that, they consider everybody as equal as they treat Bagha, Abdul, Nattu Kaka as part of the society only. In fact, the kids also follow this dictum and make sure that every member is treated the same way.

Neighbours can come to your rescue:

Whenever Popatlal has wanted ‘sisters’ for his bride hunts, Mahila Mandal - the ladies of the society has come together to help him. When the womenfolk were cheated by a sari-seller, they united against him and made his accept his mistake. Whether it was solving Iyer-Babita’s issues or helping out Mrs Bhide when her strict husband acts out, the neighbours act like a family.

Kids can also pitch in:

The Tappu Sena not just solves issues in the most innocent ways, but also helps resolve the minor fights the society folks have. They are practical, passionate, mature, and unified. That’s a wonderful trait to pick up from the youngsters. Don’t you think?

Love can solve all issues:

With so many cross-cultural love stories and pyaar among the couples, it’s a delightful show that takes us through the many phases of affection. There’s the chalk and cheese couple aka Babita and Iyer. There’s an over-the-top couple of Roshan and Sodi, and of course the loud, yet lovable pair of Jetha and Daya, among others. With so many variations, it’s the ultimate show to learn so many things from.

Your favourite series is going to complete 2000 episodes of laughter this week.
