#BirthdaySpecial: Why we are dying to see Barun Sobti back on TV

As the arrogantly sexy bad boy-turned-lover of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (IPKKND), Barun Sobti made legions of his female fans go weak in the knees. With his screen-stealing personality and enviable acting skills, he sure made a deep mark in our lives. But he's been missing out on our TV screens for a while now. That's exactly why we are dying to see him on our small screens. As he turns a year older (and hotter) today (21 August), we tell you why he should be back... read on:

Sizzling smile: With a melt-your-hearts smile, he danced his way into our hearts. We are still trying to get over his charming smile, right? His popularity with the girls was such that when he exited IPKKND, the show had to be taken off air. In TV parlance, he was as big as they came. Koi doubt?

Acting chops: His effortless acting made him a popular star, and how! In an industry that thrives on over-the-top drama, here was an actor who showed us how long natural acting could go... moreover, his expressions alone made us his biggest fans. It also helped him that all his roles were power-packed, which added the much needed spunk to his telly outings.

His crackling chemistry with his co-stars: Whether it was his smoking combo with Sanaya Irani or the lovable banter with Ankita Sharma, he owned the scenes he was in. May be it was his natural charisma or the script’s demands, whatever it was, Barun set the screen ablaze with his chemistry with the co-stars. We can safely say that nobody has managed to recreate the crackling chemistry that he shared with his string of co-stars.

Dialogue delivery: Whenever he delivered lines to his heroines, we actually thought he was talking to us. *Sigh* Perhaps that’s why girls across the country pushed their guys to speak and emote like Barun. We miss his endearing presence and his tantalizing voice on TV. He. Must. Come. Back.

Good looks: There's no denying the fact that the actor is insanely good looking. Just look at him, will you! We know he quit TV to spend time with his family, but that's rather selfish of him... because we want to watch him on our TV screens too. It would do him and us a world of good if he took up an offer soon.
