Have filmmakers run out of steam? Or is it just a '2016' theme? Because most movie titles have been inspired by popular songs. Whatever the case, we are digging this trend because it make us relate to the flick already. We take a look at five suck films of this year...read on:
Baar Baar Dekho: Considering the plot that hops from one time slot to another, the title seems appropriate. Borrowing lyrics from a vintage classic, the Katrina Kaif-Siddharth Malhotra starrer has made a BO mark in the right way!
Manmarziyaan: Amit Trivedi's soulful hit from Lootera found itself as a Hindi flick's title. While the movie failed to sizzle on the big screen, it's name remains in our thoughts, thanks to the popular number by Shilpa Rao.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil: There's already so much buzz surrounding the drama that boasts of many bigwigs. Will the story be similar to the philosophical song from the era gone by? Let's wait and watch for that...until then, remember, Zara Hatke...Zara Bachke...Yeh Hai Bombay Meri Jaan!
Akira: Sonakshi Sinha's feisty character gets its name from the flamboyant number Jeeya Re from Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Much like the freewheeling song, Sona's reel self was fierce, a go-getter and determined.
Madaari: The movie might not have made it big, number-wise, but it sure grabbed critics' eyeballs and ours too! The quirky title is definitely an ode to Coke Studios' hit track of the same name by Vishal Dadlani.
