#GanpatiVisarjan: TV celebs bid goodbye to Gannu

The day to bid goodbye to our Gannu Maharaj is here.

It’s Ganpati Visarjan when families bid goodbye to Ganesh after celebrating his presence for 11 days.

Our TV celebs got talking and shared with us about their emotions on bidding farewell to Ganpati Bappa. They also shared their message for fans..

Here have a look..

Pankhury Awasthi:

This has been my first Ganpati festival here in Mumbai. I have always been aware of Ganesh Chaturthi which was usually celebrated with a pooja at home but the way Ganpati is celebrated here; it’s a completely different feeling altogether.

This festival ignites the zest and fervour in an otherwise very fast and busy population of Mumbai; gives a reason to people to come together and celebrate, hope, pray and take blessings from Ganpati Bappa!

While farewells are always a little heavy, I'm waiting for Bappa's return next year. Hopefully I'll be able to host him too!

Sanjay Gagnani:

On Ganpati visarjan, I believe it is we humans who immerse idols of Ganpati. He, as the god never bids farewell to his followers and believers. Don’t we remember and worship our Ganpati after visarjan?

On other hand, all those who kept eco friendly Ganpati in their houses and societies with real faith, I wish and pray that Ganpati comes to your respective places very soon next year too. Ganpati Bappa Morya!

Pratibha Tiwari

It's always an excitement to welcome Ganpati Bappa home and with him being with us it feels great. The emotions of togetherness surpasses all boundaries of society, caste, religion in fact everything. But the worst part is the visarjan, I really feel bad saying goodbye as it really makes me emotional every time.

A message to our society and people, it would be great getting more and more eco-friendly idols and doing visarjan in only nearby artificial ponds. And please stop doing visarjan in oceans, rivers as it's ruining our nature very badly. It's a request, respect our mother nature. Be aware and be natural.

Pudcha varshi lavakar ya!!!
