Dalai Lama has rightly said, "We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves."

On the occasion of International Peace Day, we got our TV celebs to share their thoughts on world peace. Also with them part of a hectic industry, they shared some peace mantras that they follow to maintain peace in their lives.

Here have a look:

Madhurima Tuli
I believe if we want peace we need to have inner peace in ourselves. We need to get rid of the egos, hatred, grudges against people and believe in humanity! I maintain peace in my life by removing sometime for yourself and think where is my life heading.

Abhaas Mehta

Firstly, we need to look at every other human as a human, keeping all biases of religion, creed, caste, race etc aside. World peace, as of now, is farfetched and to achieve that in the longer run we first need to have a quality which is empathy, which is missing these days. As for peace in my life, I am short tempered of sorts. I have done some serious thinking and controlled it. More than peace in life, it helps me maintain my peace of mind. If the mind is at peace you emit the same feeling around.

Rubina Dilaik

I think to spread peace around, we as individuals should first live in a peaceful state of mind. And to do so it's very crucial to observe silence on a daily basis even if it is for five minutes.

Hasan Zaidi

There was a time when people used to like each other, talk to each other but now we spend too much time on the virtual world. We have lost respect and love for each other as humans and thus no one even flinches while killing another man. The first thing that we need to imbibe is become human. Also if you see any injustice around you, stand up and fight for each other. Let’s all become like a family and spread the message of peace and humanity among all.

Ragini Khanna

Peace is a very broad term; firstly to achieve peace outside one must be peaceful within.

Piyush Sahdev

I feel the right environment while growing up is important. Compassion, love, forgiveness should be taught to kids from a young age. Kids showcase whatever they see around. This industry and marriage both requires you to be patient, tolerant and peace, else you will not be able to survive it! I practice meditation, various healing techniques and follow a spiritual path and concepts to maintain peace in my mind that reflects in my life!

Monica Bedi

We need to understand that we belong to the same God who wants us to be kind, forgiving and loving towards each other. So lets all remove grudges and hatred from the world so that we can bring about a peaceful change. I believe in the power of karma and thus I keep reminding myself that if I need happiness in life, then I need to first deliver the same to others.

Vahbiz Dorabjee

We should always take out 'me' time every day. Make sure to pamper yourself. Most importantly stay positive and happy. And always do what your heart says.

Let us all spread the magic of love, peace and humanity!!!
