TV celebs share compatibility secrets

'Brangelina’ - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt - was a grand Hollywood romance that made its presence felt far and wide. Alas, it did not last long.

The couple, who got married in 2014, have ended their marriage.

When a pair, who was so much in love parted ways, the world was left shocked.

Has relationship really lost its true meaning? In today's time, is the pressure to be victorious making us lose the essence of love and partnership in our lives?

To get all the answers to these queries, we got our TV celebs talk about compatibility and sustainability in marriage.

Here, in a conversation with Tellychakkar.com, telly stars shared their secret mantra of happy married life.

Divyanka Tripathi

It is too early to talk about my relationship. Luckily and thankfully, I am grateful that it’s pretty smooth. I and Vivek (Dahiya) have completed 2.5 months of our married life. It is a long journey; we have to set a lot of example. We have to be understanding and compatible. We have to enjoy each other’s company yet feel fulfilled with ourselves. Individually also we should be happy. I just want to be happy with Vivek and we are doing the same.

Companionship and friendship is the core of any marriage. Everything else, including distractions or insecurities, is an illusion. They only grow in response to the psychological nourishment one gives them. It really hurts me, when I see marriages getting affected. I strongly hope for everyone to find peace and resolution. While many may disagree with my opinion but I strongly believe that as long as you are in love, you are strongly committed to the individual you are married to, through thick and thin. I believe ‘Everything is repairable'. I am grateful to have Sargun (Mehta) in my life.

Iqbal Khan

Live a happy life and don't tell anyone. People always spoil beautiful things and that's exactly what I do. I and Sneha (Chhabra) respect each other.

Ruslaan Mumtaz

I believe respecting each other is more important than anything else, even more than love. I treat Nirali (Mehta) exactly the way her parents treat her and for me, she is my priority. She is more important than my career or other aspects of my life. Only when you feel like that about someone then only a relationship can survive the distractions and temptations of our industry. Breakups are sad but once you lose respect for each other, it is best to go separate ways. It is our duty to keep the respect alive.

Shweta Kawatra

There is no perfect person for a perfect marriage. We (married to Manav Gohil) focus on each other's strengths instead of seeing each other's faults all the time. Even today, after 15 years of togetherness, we use our ‘thank you’ genuinely and sparingly. On the risk of sounding philosophical, I am going to say we practice a simple philosophy in life to the T. That is ‘It's okay to disagree but it's not okay to disrespect.’ When not applied it’s called philosophy and when applied it's called wisdom.

Shaleen Malhotra

Well, it isn’t so difficult. Every relationship has its share of arguments and opinions which is healthy as it shows people care. But I also believe that every fight should reach a proper conclusion timely to avoid it into growing into a high stature. As for this industry is concerned, there should always be trust, loyalty, love, transparency and freedom in the relation. If you have committed a mistake, you should own it up. Complete transparency should be there as it leads to bigger issues. I am lucky to have got Diksha (Rampal) in my life. There have been times, when I had nothing to give her but she stood strong and held the relationship close. And not just as a wife but also when we were in a long distance relationship. Imagine the level of faith and trust she had in her man who was in the glamorous industry. That’s the point, never lose your faith over speculations and ideas, and always keep faith. Also I follow the mantra that ‘believe only half what you see and nothing what you hear.’

Indeed, nice ideas. Wishing all a blissful life ahead.
