Alind and Nissar’s Peninsula Pictures to come up with a ‘period drama’ on Star Plus

After Vishkanya, Peninsula Pictures is presently working on a unique concept for Star Plus.

Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvez’ Peninsula Pictures, which produced Vishkanya – Ek Anokhi Prem Kahaani, is presently working on a unique concept!!

Moving out of the drama genre, the producer duo is working on a ‘period drama’, in its true sense, for Star Plus!!

We say this, because the story will be set in ancient India, and will be completely fictional with a liberal dose of fantasy.

As per a credible source, “The idea behind this concept is that the makers wanted to work on a concept that was not bound by history. Hence, they decided on a completely fictional story, a period drama that will capture the essence and culture of ancient India, rather than its history.”

The show is tentatively titled ‘The King’s Daughters’, is what we hear.

The beauty of this period drama will be that though the costumes, jewellery and designs will be of the ancient times, the story and the characters will be truly fictional.

We hear that the show is presently in its scripting and casting phase.

We tried buzzing producers Alind and Nissar, but could not reach out to them.

We also tried getting a comment on this from the channel spokesperson, but failed to get any response.
