This is one piece of news that will shock you as well as leave you sad.
All you people who were eagerly looking forward to the comeback of Sanaya Irani and Harshad Chopda, here is a development that will make you weep.
Meenu Mausi, the project by Full House Media on Star Plus has been unfortunately scrapped.
Shocked, aren’t you?
Well, Tellychakkar.com has exclusive information that the big-ticket drama that was to get the popular actors together has been shelved.
Meenu Mausi, was to be a takeoff from the acclaimed movie Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke.
Apart from Sanaya-Harshad, the daily was to star Hiten Tejwani and Chhavi Mittal as a couple with three kids (Sparsh Khanchandani, Avneet Kaur and Uzair Basar). Post their death in the show, Sanaya as their mausi would have looked after them. Harshad was the man opposite her.
The feel good story and roping in of a talented star cast, this looked like a serial that the world was looking forward to. But now, all is history, as the project even before it could take off has died a premature death.
Shared a source, “The show was taking too long to go on floors and the channel was getting quite flabbergasted. Although the team had shot the pilot recently but the channel did not quite approve of the casting leading to the makers withdrawing the show. As of now, Meenu Mausi has been shelved for an indefinite period, lets see if the makers and channel decide on reviving it.”
Full House Media, launched by admired writer Sonali Jaffar and husband Amir has been doing pretty well with their hatke projects, from Life OK’s Rajni_Kant, Colors' Devanshi to the upcoming SAB TV Trideviyaan.
We hope the makers and the cast take the decision in their stride and shoot off something better soon.
When we buzzed actors part of the drama, they remained clueless of the entire development.
Our efforts to reach the producers and the channel spokesperson remained futile.
