Amal Sehrawat, popular for his role of Sangram Singh in Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is under the weather and adviced bed rest.
Yes, Amal is down with dengue and is presently resting it out.
Amal, who after Yeh Rishta went on to be involved in a short film wherein he played a gay character had been researching and attending a workshop for his upcoming movie. As part of it, he had to visit the slum areas quite often, and that was when he fell ill.
When contacted, Amal told us, “Yes, I was visiting the slum area regularly to research on my next role, for a movie. I think a naughty mosquito must have bit me there (smiles).”
“I got uncontrollable shivering, followed by very high fever and lot of weakness. When I visited the doctor he referred me lot of tests and I was diagnosed with dengue. I am taking lots of liquids and am on complete bed rest at the moment. However, I am surely on the road to recovery,” he elaborated.
