Zee TV’s upcoming show gets new makers; Jyoti Sharma and Yash Gera to play leads?

New shows with exciting fresh concepts are in the content pipeline of many GECs, raring and gearing to entertain audiences this coming year. Tellychakkar.com earlier reported about acclaimed writer Mahesh Pandey going solo as a producer (after few joint ventures) with his upcoming venture Ayodhya for Zee TV, which was later heard to be pitched to Sony TV. Now, we have fresh information of Zee TV bringing on board new makers for Ayodhya. Our source shares, "The reins are now handed to Piyush Gupta and Jatin Sethi (Pics Productions) who will be venturing into TV production with this series. The show continues to be with Zee." When we contacted writer Mahesh Pandey, he confirmed the news with us and said, "I am no longer producing the show as Piyush Gupta, Jatin Sethi and his wife Astha have joined in as producers. The concept belongs to me and I am associated in capacity of a writer." We wish the new makers all the luck and success and move on to share some more exclusive news with our wonderful readers. This drama apparently has found its lead faces in Yash Gera (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) and Jyoti Sharma (Diya Aur Baati Hum). As per a source, Jyoti's character will see a change as the story progresss and Yash will portray a spoilt brat of an influential father. We buzzed Jyoti and Yash for a comment but the two didn't revert till the time of filing the article. Piyush and Jatin remained out of reach. Keep reading this space for more updates.
