Beautiful actress Jasmine Roy, who is currently wooing the audience by playing the role of Radha in Star Jalsha's Bhakter Bhagaban Shri Krishna, says that she was initially reluctant to play the said role.

“I started my acting career with Sananda TV’s Bhola Maheswar, which was also a mythological serial. So when I was offered the role of Radha, I felt really bad. I was like why am I being offered to act in a mythological serial again. However, the team encouraged me to go ahead with the role saying I will feel nice after stepping into the shoes of Radha,” Jasmine expressed to Tellychakkar.com.

The pretty lady said that before this serial she did not know many things about Radha.

She quipped, “I knew that Radha’s life was painful and sacrificing but didn’t know much about her family life. Her husband didn’t pay much attention to her and she also did not receive care and love from her in-laws. The little moments that she shared with Krishna only gave her some happiness.”

“This character has lots of shades. I am really happy for bagging the role. TRP is an important factor in our field. I am playing Radha since the last few months and I have heard that the ratings have improved after the introduction of my track. I am really happy and thankful to God,” she added.

When asked to share the best feedback she received so far for playing Radha, she shared, “There is a lady who knows that I am into acting but was not aware of my current serial. During a recent conversation, she said right in front of me that she really likes the actress who is playing Radha. She said that the girl is very beautiful and looks exactly like the real Goddess. She even asked who that actress is and hearing her I kept smiling. When she got to know that I am that actress she couldn’t believe as I look different without makeup. She was really happy and excited and took many selfies with me.”

“I also got good feedback on Facebook. It feels really nice to receive such warm response,” she added with a smile.

Way to go, young lady!
