The popular television actor Zain Imam ended the Year 2016 on a sad note!
The zesty actor, who rose to fame with Zee TV’s Tashan-e-Ishq, made his comeback with Yeh Vaada Raha opposite Sonal Vengulekar post the leap.
It’s just been over a month since he entered the show, and the sorrowful news of the serial going off air has hurt him hard.
As we reported earlier, due to low ratings, Yeh Vaada Raha will shut shop on 20 January 2017 and upcoming daily Woh Apna Sa will take its place.
When we contacted Zain to know his reaction on the show’s closure, he said, “It wasn’t shocking to me as the association was only for a month. In fact Tashan-e-Ishq closure news was more shocking to me than Yeh Vaada Raha going off air. It is unfortunate that Yeh Vaada Raha will end even before I could connect with the audience.”
So why didn’t the show manage to garner numbers, to which he replied, “I think it wasn’t promoted well after the show took a leap. There were no promos and buzz about the serial.”
We asked him if he regrets being part of the project, and he shared, “I never regret being part of any TV show.”
