Yash Raj coming to a small screen near you

Tellychakkar had earlier reported that Yash Raj Films, the big daddy of cinema will now make its presence felt in our living rooms. And so,the production house is all set to make its debut on January 1, on Sony Entertainment Television. The five new shows lined up for the channel are Rishta.com, Seven,Powder, Mahi Way and Lift Karade. Lift Karade the only non-fiction show out of the five was earlier known as Mera Sabse Bada Fan Banega Mera Hero. Yash Raj Films have booked the weekend slot of the channel and their shows will be aired from 8pm to 10pm, Fridays-Sundays. Here’s a sneak peek into what these five are going to be like: Name: Rishta.com Actors: Jugal Hansraj, Suchitra Pillai, Amrita Raichand and Shruti Seth among others Synopsis: A comedy, it is set in a matrimonial organization. You could even spot a Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and a Rani Mukherji among the main cast. Name: Seven Actors: Shama Sikander who starred in Sony’s Yeh Meri Life Hai is playing one of the key roles along with Rakesh Bapat, Bakul Thakker.There will be many new faces on the show Synopsis: Seven, as the name suggests is about seven people who are gifted with special powers which they are not aware of. Together, they save the world from evil forces. It is basically good versus evil stories. Name: Powder Actors: New starcast Synopsis: The show is about two men on two different sides of the law and their gritty battle for supremacy. The show deals with a narcotic trade gang. Name: Mahi Way Actors: Sharon Prabhakar along with many others Synopsis: Mahi Way is a story of a young, 25 year old, trying hard for a successful career, to meet her Prince Charming, to make a name for herself in the world and she wants all this being “herself”. The story is set in a top fashion magazine house where the girl works. She is best at her work, but is ignored by everyone. In-spite of all the odds, she will fulfill her dreams and this is her story. Name: Lift Kara De Actors: Karan Johar along with 20 big names from Bollywood Synopsis: Earlier called Mera Sabse Bada Fan Banega Mera Hero, it is a reality show hosted by Karan Johar. It will run for 20 weeks with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Lata Mangeshkar, Dharmendra,A R Rahman, Rani Mukherji along with others. Each week the show will feature one super star and their biggest fan. With these five new shows, Sony Entertainment Television will now become Multi Screen Media Private Limited.
