Vindu is an entertainer, Poonam and Pravesh are smart : Aditi Govitrikar

Aditi Govitrikar was the latest Bigg Boss evictee. She says she participated in the show to “reinvent her career”. She talks to Tellychakkar about her long stay in there. She calls it a lifetime experience, “I wanted to restart my work after I gave birth to my second baby. It was a great platform and it gives you good results. There were some personal issues too which made me start my career all over again.” Wasn’t it risky to leave her two very young children behind for such a long time?

Aditi Govitrikar was the latest Bigg Boss evictee. She says she participated in the show to “reinvent her career”. She talks to Tellychakkar about her long stay in there. She calls it a lifetime experience, “I wanted to restart my work after I gave birth to my second baby. It was a great platform and it gives you good results. There were some personal issues too which made me start my career all over again.” Wasn’t it risky to leave her two very young children behind for such a long time? “One needs to take that chance and when you don’t take those risks, then they become your life’s regrets. At this stage I needed to do that and I hope it will pay off.” She says it wasn’t an easy experience.“Basically, it’s a psychological game. One should be able to gel with other people, who are so different from you, from different backgrounds with different mindsets. Some of them are good in their professional fields. Then, there were also those household chores one had to do. But the biggest challenge was to stay without my kids.” It is said that viewers like to see controversial contestants in the house? “You can’t say that for sure about all evicted contestants that they were not controversial and that is why they were out. Because contestants who were manipulating or playing games were out. So you can’t say those who are remaining in the house are all controversial.” It’s believed that she didn’t make enough use of her long stay inside the house. “When I decided to be part of the house, it was clear I would be myself there, just the way I am in real life. Having said that, if someone put me in a corner I will retaliate, I will answer back but I won’t do it just for seeking attention, it’s against my nature.” Aditi was at loggerheads with Poonam Dhillon in the last few days. “Initially there were many women in the house, we all were getting along fine. I made friends with Tanaaz, Shamita and Bakhtiyar, who I spent the maximum time with. I did not get a chance to interact with Poonamji as compared to others. After everyone left we were put together and it was obvious these things would happen, it is human nature. Everyone here was a rival. Till nine weeks, I saw one person and in the tenth week she was a different person. According to me, someone who doesn’t change and who maintains their standards should win, which Poonamji could not do. But she is playing the game very well.” Till date, Aditi doesn’t seem to have forgotten and forgiven Rohit Vermafor whatever he did. “Who am I to forgive him? It’s a big word. I am little upset with him, because of what was shown to us, I am more upset with him compared to Vindu and Raju, because he would come to me every day, claiming he loves me and that I am such a nice person. It is not that I had gone and spent time with him. You are coming to me on one hand and on the other hand, you are plotting and planning against me, that is a nasty thing to do with anyone. The things he did with with Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar, and Claudia, I think he did not need to do that, as he was a pure entertainer in the initial days. He would have still been inside the house if he had not resorted to all that.” She admits that she broke down many times but not because of the circumstances in the house but because of her kids. “I would cry in the toilet, so that my kids don’t feel bad. There were a few times I felt like slapping people -- surely Rohit and even Bakhtiyar, when he would behave stupidly. I also felt the same when Kamaal Khan became Bigg Boss.” Vinod Kambli was upset with the fact that being a friend Aditi had nominated him. “I would not call myself his friend as he is more my husband’s friend. Socially, we chat with each other. One had to nominate the other, that is a game, my reasons were very clear. So I nominated both him and Pravesh, of course I did not know I was the only one who nominated them. However, it’s the audience which finally votes you out. No one should take the nominations badly, it should be taken in the spirit of the game. There is nothing personal against him.” She thinks it’s a tough call to say who will win, as Vindu is a “good entertainer, Pravesh is a smart player and so is Poonam” and as she is Bakhtiyar’s “friend. I wish he should win it.” Career wise now, Aditi is ready to do more reality shows be it a dance show or anything and also game for some films.
