Bollywood actors have found a lot of adoration in Peru as the country is growing its fondness towards India and the film fraternity

MUMBAI: Well, just like Television actors are most loved in Indonesia apart from their home country – India, Bollywood actors have found a lot of adoration in the South American continent- Peru.

While there are many countries which are fond of Shah Rukh Khan, the citizens of Peru have fallen head over heels in love with the bigwig. It was the first time that Jab Tak Hai Jaanwas officially released in the country and after fetching immense appreciation, big films in the likes of Dhoom 3Chennai ExpressDilwale and PK have been getting officially released in Peru.

The growing fondness towards India and the film fraternity, Sujal Patwardhan, Director of Embarq Motorworld Pvt Ltd said, “Peru is a magical land and though there is a notion that it is ‘unsafe’ and people get nasty, all of this is a farce. Especially when it comes to India, people love Bollywood films and the Indian actors.”

Karan Anand, Head – Relationships, Cox & Kings Ltd. added, “Indian travellers’ choices are dynamic as they are constantly looking for something new. Peru is one of the unexplored destinations for Indians that stands at the receiving end. After crossing the 7000 mark in 2017, Peru tourism clocked in a growth of 36.9 percent in the first two months of 2018 as compared to the same period last year.
