Guest Editor of the Day: Darshan Pandya in the house

Darshan Pandya

MUMBAI: Popularly known for his stints in Kya Hua Tera Vadaa as Vineet Raizaada and Aapki Antara as Aditya Verma, talented actor Darshan Pandya was the Guest Editor at TellyChakkar. He was last seen in the role of a Pakistani spy in Bollywood film Parmanu along with John Abraham and Diana Penty.

Darshan, who looked dashing in simple attire, donned the hat of a journalist and interviewed the handsome Vivek Dahiya. Vivek is currently wooing audiences in Star Plus’ Qayamat Ki Raat.

Read on to know what Vivek shared!

Q) So Vivek, do you remember where we met for the first time?

A) We both met on the sets of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. You came across as a very approachable, friendly, and quiet guy. Then, we spoke, and our wavelengths matched. We even shared a room; that’s how we broke the ice.

Q) How is life post marriage?

A) Life has been good, and there is a lot to catch up on. I strongly recommend marriage to everyone (chuckles) My wife (Divyanka Tripathi) has become my personal dairy after marriage, and if I don’t share my stuff with her, I indeed feel that the day is not complete.

Q) What are your expectations from Qayamat Ki Raat? Throw a little light on the character you are playing in the show.

A) Star Plus has tried their hand at a fantasy thriller genre, which has not really been explored in India. When the script was narrated to me, I simply liked it. The art director has worked a lot on the look and feel of the tantric, who is one of the main characters in the show. The name of my character is Raj; he is a laidback, family oriented guy and doesn’t believe in the paranormal.

Q) What are your expectations from the audience?

A) As the audiences love Naagin 3, we think they would love our show too. It’s not based on a run-of-the-mill concept. Balaji has always managed to keep the audience hooked to their screens, and this time will also be no different. The audience gave us positive feedback after seeing the promo; we are expecting a great response.

Q) What are your reviews on Parmanu?

A) I wasn’t expecting the movie to be this good. I thought it would be a pure documentary that would state facts along with a little masala considering it had John Abraham in it. I only watched the movie because I was intrigued about the events in 1993. The movie was well shot, and the best part of the film was you! As we weren’t really in touch, I did not know you were doing the film. On seeing you on the 70-mm screen, I even told Divyanka that you aced the role. Divyanka couldn’t recognize you at all in the look of a Pakistani spy.

Darshan then bid a warm farewell to the team and promised to be back soon.
