MUMBAI: Popular television actor Vivek Dahiya says that women need to feel safe and that they should be provided an environment where they can work without worrying about their safety.

Sharing his stand on the #MeToo movement, Vivek said to a leading publication, ‘Speaking up is crucial, punishing is crucial, and making sure that these incidents stop is urgent! Women need to feel safe, and we need to let them concentrate on their work, grow in life, and do whatsoever they wish to rather than having to worry about their safety.’

The actor, who has been seen in shows such as Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera, and Kavach...Kaali Shaktiyon Se, makes sure that the women who work with him feel safe.

He said, ‘The women who work with me know that I won't tolerate any nonsense from anyone around. So I know that those who are in my realm are protected.’

On the work front, Vivek is currently seen in Star Plus’ Qayamat Ki Raat.
