MUMBAI: The Indian Telly Technical Trade and Programming Awards are back with their 15th edition to honour the unsung heroes of the television industry.
What we see on television is a result of the hard work and dedication each unit member puts in, and it is because of them and their executing skills that a particular show is in your list of favourites today.
Each project starts off at a basic scripting level. Amit Aaryan has played a quintessential role in changing the way comedy has been viewed until now.
While he has done a host of comedy shows in the past, his most acclaimed project is as the dialogue and scriptwriter of FIR on SAB TV. He is the man behind every takiya kalam (catchphrase) in the show. He works hard to bring out variety and add spice in every situation that comes up in the show.
When asked about his contribution to the television industry, Amit said, ‘Earlier, the focus of comedy shows was driven by narration solely. At that time, I brought in the trend of ‘takia kalam’ through my show FIR, and as you know, the show was a super hit. Secondary to that, I brought the concept of introducing guest characters who would also have their unique characteristic traits, and this would leave a shadow of them in the mind of the audience even if they were on board for a cameo or an episodic.’
Kudos, Amit!
