MUMBAI: Gulki Joshi, who was last seen in Piyaa Albela, and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai fame Rajesh Kumar will be soon in a situational comedy show based on sanitation.
Rajesh will play a government social worker who visits villages to check if the toilets are available for people, while Gulki will be seen as a teacher who educates villagers on the importance of sanitation.
TellyChakkar has learned that the project is produced by Colosceum. The show is titled Hum Saaf Saaf Hai and will air on Colors Rishtey. It is a 14-episode series and will go on air from 16th February.
When we contacted Gulki, she shared, ‘It is good work in a show that educates the masses. Recently, while on my way to shoots, I quickly wanted to rush to a toilet. My driver suggested that I use a public toilet. Before entering the washroom, I blocked my nose, thinking it will stink badly. However, to my surprise, the toilet was spic and span. It had the facility of tissue papers and a room freshener in the washroom. We have a preconceived notion about public toilets being always dirty, but this changed my mindset.’
