Shalini Chandran's sour Bollywood experience

How would you feel if you work really hard on something and don’t get anything out of it? How would you feel if you work really hard on something and don’t get anything out of it? Of course, you will go to sleep with a heavy heart. Shalini Chandran, who was last seen in Imagine’s Looteri Dulhan, has had a similar experience lately. Two and a half year back she shot for a Bollywood movie Kya Yahi Sach Hai, produced and directed by Pushpa Singh and Y P Singh respectively. She put in a lot of effort but sadly the flick never hit the screens, dashing her 70mm dreams. Now before we move on, here’s some information about the movie and her role in it. It is based on Y P Singh’s autobiography Carnage by Angels. In the movie, Shalini has played the role of Y P Singh’s supportive wife. But the twist is that after such a long time the movie is up for a release on 30 December 2011 but she has not been informed about it. “In a newspaper, I saw the promos of the movie. I was quite shocked,” says Shalini. Furthermore, she also informs that the production house didn’t even bother to call her for the movie’s recent music launch. “I got to know about it from outside sources. I did not hear a word from them,” says the dejected actress. However, like a true professional she wishes “great luck” and “success” to the movie. “I am happy that the movie is being released now. I wish it a great success but I don’t feel any connect anymore,” reveals Shalini. Well, we feel bad for you. She has always been unlucky with her Bollywood dream. She did act in a couple of more movies namely, Always Kabhi Kabhi and Badmash Company; unfortunately her roles got chopped in these two flicks as well. “I am fine with it as I have never been very lucky with Bollywood,” ends Shalini. Don’t worry, Shalini. Keep working hard, be a little patient and you shall soon shine on the silver screen!!!
