Shamita Shetty continues shoot despite injuries

MUMBAI: Film and television personality Shamita Shetty is a thorough professional. Injuries did not stop her from remaining committed to her work.

Known for films like Mohabbatein, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, and Zeher, the actress is currently a contestant of stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi season 9.   

According to media reports, recently, while performing a stunt, she suffered major injuries. However, the injuries failed to hamper her spirit. The task required Shamita to get on to a machine that catapulted her in the air and threw her on the net which she had to hold and eventually drop the flags into the water, but she got injured while performing the stunt. It tore several tissues in her chest leaving the entire upper body into a spasm. Although she wanted to complete the task, but she was advised not to do as it could lead to serious health issue.
