MUMBAI: Her sincere love and passion for the craft of acting is imperative. Her tenacity and the willingness to work hard wins over more talented actors who lack drive or discipline. She is confident with a strong belief in herself that protects her from the many insecurities that come with the industry.
Dhruvee Haldankar’s understanding of dramatic techniques; good stage,vocal, and screen presence; and energy and dedication certainly make her a natural talent, born with the ability to perform.
Along with being an actor par excellence, she is also an anchor,emcee,radio jockey, and now a producer of documentary films for a social cause. Her recent film on sanitation and toilets in Mumbai won her a national award.
‘I won Maharashtra Sanman today, an award for being a versatile actress. Being a Maharashtrian, getting acknowledged in Mumbai for all the hard work that I have done to come this far in the industry makes me immensely happy. After, all you always feel good when someone gives you a pat on the back,’ she said.
‘Currently, I am being a little choosy with what I should be playing on television as I want to now do romantic drama. However, I am also open to the digital world,’ Dhruvee added.
She also shared, ‘With anchoring being the strong part of my sword blade, I want to also host shows on television. I don’t mind anchoring for Savdhaan India or any of the reality shows coming up. I am currently shooting episodes for Crime Patrol, one of my favourite shows, and the last series I did was My Name Ijj Lakhan on SAB TV.’
