MUMBAI: TellyChakkar had exclusively reported about renowned director Rajesh Ram Singh, who has directed shows like Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Kesari Nandan, and Chandrashekhar, turning producer.
He is producing a show under his banner named Cockcrow Productions along with Shaika Films’ Pradeep Kumar, who last produced Meri Durga on Star Plus

The show will have a Punjabi backdrop and is titled Choti Sardaarni. Initially, the show was supposed to launch on Colors’ new channel. However, now, we have learned that it will air on Colors itself.
Actors namely Sudeep Sahir and Mrunal Jain were approached for the show to play the leads.
However, as per the latest development, our sources inform us that actor Avinesh Rekhi of Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji fame, has been roped in to play the male protagonist.
We have also learned that veteran actress Anita Raj, who was last seen in Zee TV’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, has joined the cast to play a pivotal role.
The show will feature a newbie as the female protagonist in the character of Choti Sardaarni.
The show is expected to go on floors sometime next week.
We tried reaching out to producer Rajesh and actors Avinesh and Anita, but they all remained unavailable for comment.
