When a show nears its end, the actors associated with the daily fear about their fate as an actor. But that is definitely not the case with Vishwajeet Pradhan, who plays Brahmanand Jakhar of Star Plus’ Maryada. The actor is sad that his show is coming to an end. “The show was well written and that applies to my character. That’s why I received such great reviews for this powerful role,” says Vishwajeet.
Fortunately, he is also getting offers from different production houses and the lucky man is spoilt for choice. The actor says, "I have been getting offers from different producers but I haven’t had a detailed discussion with them. I will do that very soon and make my selection.” But what kind of role would the audiences see him doing. Would he like to do another Brahmanand? “I have absolutely no problem doing a negative character. If a certain role matches up to my acting caliber, I will definitely do that,” he tells Tellychakkar.com.
For some strange reason, unlike the big screen, he has not played an out and out positive character on the small screen and has the bad man image. But for him, that is no issue. “Look at the legendary Bollywood actor Praan Saab. He started his career with positive roles, but he gained fame for his negative roles," opines Vishwajeet.
Now that the show will have a logical ending very soon, Vishwajeet will have lots of free time in hand. While other actors will have a big wish list of indulgent activities, Vishwajeet is different. Others might want to develop a hobby, but for this actor acting is his life. “"I have only one hobby and that is acting. It's my passion, my hobby so I don't need a break to pursue my hobby," ends he.
That’s one passionate actor.
