Alladin’s Siddharth Nigam and Avneet Kaur enjoy rains in Lucknow

MUMBAI: Siddharth Nigam and Avneet Kaur are two popular faces of small screen. They are known for the serial Alladin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga. The actors spoke about their Lucknow connection, love for rains and much more.

The duo was recently in the city. And since it wasn’t their first visit here, the two had lots to share about their memories of the city. But before they could start about that, both Siddharth and Avneet shared how coming to Lucknow was like a nightmare this time. "Because of the thunderstorm and heavy rainfall in the city, there was a lot of turbulence in the aircraft. Ek toh waise hi I am scared of travelling in planes upar se this turbulence. I was really frightened during the landing at the Lucknow airport," Avneet told Times of India. To this, Siddharth jokingly added, "So aise swagat hua humara Lucknow mein!"

However, both of them love monsoons otherwise. "I love having adrak waali chai and pakoras when it rains. Monsoon is my absolute favourite season," said Siddharth, while Avneet added, "I love and hate monsoon at the same time. Hate because monsoons in Mumbai are really terrible as there is water logging everywhere. But yes, as a weather, monsoons are really romantic!"

Speaking about their Lucknow connection, Siddharth, who is from Allahabad, said to the daily that he has been to the city several times. "I feel well connected with Lucknow. It’s a beautiful city and I have explored it thoroughly because I have my relatives here. I’ve been to Hazratganj, Chowk, Rumi Darwaaza, and even the parks here. I remember going to Janeshwar Mishra Park in Gomti Nagar. It is huge!" said Siddharth, adding, "I have some emotional memories of the Passport Office here as I got my passport made here for the very first time. The officials there were very kind and helpful.”

Avneet shared, “I have visited Lucknow several times myself. I happen to have a very close friend living here and I try to meet her every time I visit Lucknow."
