MUMBAI: Janhvi Kapoor, who is one of the most popular Bollywood actresses, has penned down a heartfelt note for the real Kargil Girl, Gunjan Saxena, on her birthday.
Janhvi is prepping for her upcoming film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. After a really long wait, the first look of Janhvi, as IAF Gunjan Saxena, has been unveiled already, making the audience excited about the film. The first look of Janhvi as the IAF officer, who was the first girl who flew into the combat zone during the Kargil War of 1999, left everyone awestruck. Titled The Kargil Girl, the film is being helmed by Sharan Sharma.
Today, the real hero, former IAF pilot, Gunjan Saxena, is celebrating her birthday and the reel Gunjan took to social media and wished her by writing a sweet note. Janhvi shared a photo with her and also penned down a heartfelt note for her. Along with this, Janhvi also shared an unseen photo in which the Dhadak actress is seen clad in the Indian Air Force uniform and Gunjan can be seen clad in a light blue suit. The real and reel Gunjan flashed their smile in the same and it made for an endearing click.
Janhvi’s note read, “Happy Birthday Gunjan mam! Thank you for teaching me the true meaning of bravery, the importance of working hard and sincerely and for paving the way for millions of women in our country. You’re an inspiration and a hero, without ever having tried to be. Your story has helped me believe in myself, and hopefully will help others too.”
