MUMBAI: Neela Tele Films Private Limited’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) while is known for making its audiences laugh, is also known for raising awareness on several social topics that impact the everyday lives of millions. In the upcoming episodes, as usual, through comedy the serial will spread awareness on one of India’s largest healthcare and insurance programmes - Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The episodes show the plight of a single mother and a vegetable vendor from whom the residents of Gokuldham Society regularly buy their vegetables and the episodes throw light on the benefits of enrolling oneself in the National Health Protection Scheme.
In the upcoming episodes of TMKOC the residents of Gokuldham Society find out that the vegetable vendor is severely ill and the Society rushes to her home to inquire about her health. Dr Haathi prescribes medicines for the ailing woman and also advices her to opt into the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Collectively they explain the benefits of the scheme that aims to provide insurance cover and improve healthcare infrastructure in the country.
