Ashish Acharya roped in for Sony TV’s Mere Dad Ki Dulhan

MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment will soon roll out its new show Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. It is produced by Deeya Singh and Tony Singh under their banner DJ's Creative Unit.

TellyChakkar has been at the forefront of reporting about the show. We broke the news about Varun Badola playing the lead. Actress Anjali Tatrari, who has been a part of ZEE5’s psychological thriller Bhram, will play his daughter’s role in the show.

The story will revolve around the father and daughter. Because she does not have a mother, she will find a companion for her dad.

The show will feature talented actress Shweta Tiwari as the female protagonist. She is returning to the small screen after a gap of around three years.

Theatre artist Ashish Acharya is making his debut on TV with this show. He is roped in to play Nia’s (Anjali) friend. They also work together in a tech-based company.

Talking about himself and being a part of the show, Ashish shared, 'So I have done theatre for a couple of years with Nadira Zaheer Babbar's Ekjute Theatre group. Then I started giving auditions. I must have given around 100 auditions for ads and some TV shows before bagging this project. It's an unbelievable experience. I recently shot with Shweta Ma'am. She's such a great co-actor to start the journey with. I am learning with each passing day and am grateful for this opportunity. All I want to say is keep dreaming because they do come true.'

Mere Dad Ki Dulhan will premier on 11th November at 10 PM.
