MUMBAI: Star plus’s popular dance reality show Dance+5 has set new benchmarks of excellence in the world of dance and raised the entertainment quotient with some dhamakedar performances by its talented contestants. This weekend, the show will take its viewers down memory lane as for the first time ever the handsome superstar Anil Kapoor and his screen brother Jackie Shroff come together on the small screen and grace the stage of Dance+ to encourage aspiring dancers for their journey. Moreover, the ardent viewers of the show will be in for an extra entertainment bonanza as the talented contestants of the show pays a grand tribute to the legendary actors Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff
Bringing the special tadka to the evening, the contestants of the show will present a relay of awe-inspiring performances to some of Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff’s chartbuster songs including ‘My name is Lakhan’, ‘Yaar bina chain kahan re’, ‘Galla Goodiyan’ and ‘Hai Rama’, Amma dekh tera munda’, ‘Tera naam liya’ respectively. These stellar performances from their iconic songs not only amazed the Men of the hour, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff, but also impressed judges Remo D’Souza, Dharmesh Sir, Punit Pathak, Karishma Chavan, and Suresh.
Awed by the gesture, the legendary actor Anil Kapoor got emotional and shared, “ Firstly, I want to thank all the contestants for paying such a grand tribute and for making me relive my old memories once again. I feel Jackie and I, are very lucky to work with music composers like R.D Burman, Laxmikant Pyaarelal, Anand ji, Bappi Lahiri, Jatin-Lalit, who have made such amazing evergreen songs for us that today we can inspire contestants like you all.”
Adding further, Jackie Shroff shared, “Bhidu (Anil Kapoor) is senior to me and I have learned a lot from him. He is a very dear friend of mine. We have shared numerous memories together which I will cherish forever”
Moreover, the episode will make way for oodles of entertainment as the viewers will get to some jaw-dropping performances by Janam Group to ‘Pyaar Yeh Jana Kaisa Hai’ and by Bhim to ‘Ae Watan Tere Liye’.
