MUMBAI: It is time to pop up champagne and cut the cake as it happens to be the birthday of beautiful lass Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia.

The charming damsel, who is popularly known as Meher from Choti Sardarni, is happy working on her birthday.

She shared, “It is my first birthday in Mumbai and I am missing my family a lot. I haven’t really planned anything as I am feeling homesick. Though, last night few of my co-actors and school friends surprised me with a cake. They all co-ordinated and decided to ring-in my birthday at 12 o'clock at night. I began my day by visiting Gurudwara to seek blessing from God. I think after I wrap-up my shoot I will go out for a dinner with a couple of my friends.”

She continued, “This birthday is very special as usually my friends and family call to wish me but this time I have been showered with tons of wishes and endless love from my fans. I feel like the entire world is celebrating my birthday today. The love is overwhelming and that is why I am happy to work on my birthday.”
