MUMBAI: Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in lead roles, Kabir Singh turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. The film managed to do well for itself and the stars earned appreciations for their performance from their fans.
The film was a blockbuster hit; however, a section of the society criticized the film for being misogynist and glorifying toxic masculinity, abusive relationships. Many celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Taapsee Pannu and others also expressed their opinions about the film. Irrespective of all the criticism though, it was a huge success at the box office. And now, the film has also defeated one of the highest-grossing movies of all time Avengers: Endgame, in the list of top 10 most searched films of the year. Google India recently released its annual list of ‘2019 Year in Search’, and its trend list includes Top 10 most searched films of the year. Kabir Singh topped the list.
