MUMBAI: Dec 13: Almost each one of us has a hidden talent and which unknowingly or unwittingly becomes known at some point of time in our lives. Something similar happened during a recent shoot on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah when Dilip Joshi who plays the role of Jethaa Lal on the show.
In the on-going episodes of the show that is produced by Neela Film Productions Private Limited, everyone in Gokuldham Society is worried about Champakk Lal being lost. After having approached the Police, to make efforts from his own side, Jethaa Lal seeks the counsel of his mother-in-law who suggests holding a prayer gathering, singing Lord Ram’s hymns.
So while they wait for the Police to do their job, as suggested by Daya’s mother, residents of Gokuldham Society assemble in the Society compound with a dholak and manjiras (hand cymbals). So, while Bhide and others are playing the cymbals, Jethaa Lal plays the dholak and this is when Dilip Joshi’s talent on the dholak caught everybody’s attention. With skilled perfection, as he played the dholak, he unknowingly impressed everyone and post the shoot, he played it again since everyone insisted for it.
